Comparing this to anything written by Barbara Kingsolver as noted in the description....well, it baffles me. This book was an enjoyable, quick read, but the story was completely unbelievable. I wanted to love it because clearly everyone…

This book wasn't boring but it wasn't very good either. The plot wasn't very good and it didn't live up to the good things I heard about it. There's something controversial things about the book I suggest you look up as well.

Where the Crawdads Sing was a book that once I had started, I could not put down. The novel is centered around Kya, a girl who was abandoned by her parents and siblings, forced to fend for herself in the marsh. Because of this, she is know…

Certainly a page turner! I had to suspend disbelief sometimes, wondering how a young child could care for herself with so little help. I enjoyed the story, but found the ending the most unbelievable part of all, and left disappointed

Loved it. Sadness. Loneliness. Abandonment. These universal feelings at the core of the story. this read is quite a journey. All woven into a lush descriptive prose of the beauty of the natural world. Looking forward to the movie.

Loved it and read it quickly. Felt like the ending was a bit rushed after building up for it. The "whodunit" feel about it at the end didn't seem plausible, just suspend belief for a moment and it'll be fine. Great read!

I waited awhile to finally read this one, and it was worth the wait! The description of the marsh in North Carolina, complete with map in the book, put me right there every time I picked it up to read. There was also the character…

Absolutely beautiful writing by Delia Owens. I see why this book is such a bestseller. Hard to put down, you become utterly immersed in Kya's story and her view of the natural world. Only thing I didn't like was the ending, it didn't feel…

I thought the ending was great, but the story drags. I found it slow, and I struggled to finish. So many people recommended it to me, I don't get the hype.

This novel is such an easy read. Although it is heartbreaking at points, the story is wonderfully written and one that sticks with you. If this story taught me anything, it’s the importance of being kind and to include everyone.

Very slow and did not hold my attention. I finally gave up 3/4s of the way through. If three fourths is that bad, the last fourth won't redeem it

A very well written book which brings you into the marsh of North Carolina. This is a very sad story about a woman who has been left behind by everyone in her life. She is ultimately accused of murder mainly because she is an outsider (or…

My most favorite book of all time. You can feel the pain the main character feels. Hope the movie does this justice!

I admittedly stayed away from Where the Crawdads Sing simply because of its mass popularity. However, when I heard about the movie coming July 2022, I knew I had to read the book before watching the film. I was absolutely not…
