This book was very good. A long-time children's classic that somehow astonishes and mystifies the reader with it brunt style and beautiful diction. It was pretty much like the three movies, minus the pale orc guy and the in-depth relationship between Kili and the girl elf (none of which were specifically mentioned), but all the same it was wonderful to actually read this story. I loved it and Bilbo, especially how much he grows throughout the tale. I have yet to read the Lord of the Rings trilogy but I have made certain to note the sword named Sting, the elf-prince's magic mail, and above all the mysterious and curiously powerful Ring. Great story, love Beorn so much more know.
