If you've seen this film get the copy that has the commentary by with John Farwell revealing a lot of the backstory, especially about the sound design of the film. Anyone wanting more from Hitchcock at this point ( a twist at the end so L.B. Jeffries is wrong about Lars Thorwald?...C'mon!) has been swallowed-up by the crass, facile, what-passes-for-script-writing post Star Wars.
