. This show tries to glom off the success of others in the serial killer genre like Dexter and Hannibal. Unfortunately it has neither the humor of the former or the creepiness of the latter. Instead it has lots and lots AND LOTS of mostly innocent bystanders getting their throats slashed and almost as many instances of the FBI making the worst possible decision. There's close to zero character development and the main reason to watch the next episode is to see how ridiculous it gets. . I did enjoy James Purefoy's performance as the demented cult leader but even that eventually runs out of steam as he is supplanted by another and another AND YET ANOTHER crop of wackos for Kevin Bacon to blast away. . I believe the moral of the story is that EVERYONE you know (your coworkers, your neighbors, your friends, your family) - THEY ARE ALL SERIAL KILLERS AND YOU NEED TO BE VERY AFRAID AND IF YOU'RE NOT - THEN YOU ARE MOST DEFINITELY A SERIAL KILLER! .
