Shallowly entertaining, pointless sequel to 2001's "Ocean Eleven." Rarely have I seen a movie in which so many actors exert so little effort. The whole series seems like an excuse for the gang to hang out together in nice locations. The amount of talent squandered is impressive. Perhaps the most ridiculous aspect is that Julia Roberts plays Tess, who then impersonates Julia Roberts in a painfully unfunny scene. Thanks to director Steven Soderbergh, it looks great, but this is a featherweight film that does the bare minimum to entertain. Catherine Zeta-Jones, whom I don't normally like, actually puts in some effort and I liked Elliott Gould. I'm not sure how Billy Ocean was not involved in this series. Followed by another film for some reason. Soon we'll be seeing an all female version (And cue misogynists.).
