Well done movie based on tragic events.
However: They leave you with only the tragedy itself without trying to find emotional resolution. So, it seems like an empty and pointless story.
I'm not sure it was worth watching.

I watched the movie which led me to reading two books on it and then watching the movie again. Very well done, but have some kleenex on you!

I did not know this movie was based on true events. What a sad, sad story. Just makes you appreciate our own firefighters this summer with the terrible fires in BC and not forgetting the terrible fires that burnt through Fort Mcmurray.

Ok, Get ready to cry, there is no way you can't. These were young brave men, who chose to protect, not only people, but trees. You can't get any better than that.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski in 2007 based on the Gentlemen's Quarterly article "No Exit" by Sean Flynn, this American docudrama depicts the activities of the Granite Mountain Hotshots---an elite crew of firefighters who fought the Yarnell Hill Fire in June 2013.
Although the firefighting scenes appear fascinating, thrilling and gripping, the script lacks a real human drama that I can empathize wholeheartedly.

A good show that shows what it is like to be in the firefighters. Loss of a people when the fire can't be controlled and how the survivors cope. It also shows what it takes to get certification and the general interactions between team members. Including bosses that sometimes don't agree on how to handle a event.

Gave up halfway because the movie was so boring. Read a summary of the ending, and it's a shame that it seems way better and interesting compared to the first half. You can easily skip the first 30 minutes of this long movie and miss nothing. It's a shame that this movie sucked because it has a great cast and premise, but the script sucks.

The Granite Mountain Hotshots served the state of Arizona as an elite team of firefighters and fought for the certification and right to become first responders (type 1 hotshots). The majority of the team lost their lives fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire (in Arizona), the most fatal incident of any kind involving firefighters since the 9/11 attacks.

With excellent acting and dramatic effects, viewers witness the devastation alongside the men and their families. The final tribute before the end credits pays homage to the real-life Granite Mountain Hotshots.

Really loved this film, highly engrossing.. Wonderfully shot and acted. I wasn't aware it's a true story .. don't look up the Wikipedia page before you see this amazing and moving movie. Five out of five! Josh Brolin, Jennifer Connelly, Jeff Bridges, and small role by Andie MacDowell all truly shine. I was crying hard at two parts!
