Just watch Broadchurch! Don't waste your time with this!

Nicely done, but the British version was so much more appealing.

After neglecting it for a long time because of the low reviews, I finally watched it. Though I have watched and enjoyed the original British version, this one is great too, in every way. Too bad OPL has not ordered the other seasons. Perhaps it's because of the the low rating... At least I have learned not to decide based on other peoples rating!

Despite the presence of David Tennant, this American adaptation of the brilliant series "Broadchurch" just doesn't cut it.

Very poor version of British series Broadchurch!! David Tennant played in the original, now has an American accent. This series is plastic & pathetic! Not worth viewing!

Dark (mood and the actual lighting), drawn out, over-acted, and just a tad boring. Perhaps not the worst movie ever made, but at least in the 100 worst.

Please please please skip this and watch the original version, Broadchurch. One of the lead actors, David Tennant, is also in Broadchurch. Because he lost his accent for this version, the feelings and depth in his acting are just not there. This version is not a waste of time, but doesn't even compare to the British version.

Having not seen the British version I must say I did enjoy this one. I can see where some things in the film could have been done a little differently to enhance the story. I'd like to see the British version now.

I am a massive fan of Chris Chibnall's Broadchurch and David Tennant, so I watched this out of loyalty despite the panned reviews. It is with much regret that I am going to have to agree with them. If you have not viewed Broadchurch then you may have hope. If you wipe away any knowledge of having seen the original British version, at best, the American actor's performances feel passable. Even David Tennant's acting prowess could not save this episodic drama. I will say that Nick Nolte's performance may have been the one thing keeping me engaged with the show as it progressed. Do yourself a favor, skip this, and go watch Broadchurch instead.

Unfortunately, there is no closed caption so I was not able to watch this. I wish there was a comment on the dvds informing us there is no closed caption so we don't waste our time checking it out.
