The story of a young lobbyist, taken advantage of by her boss, loses her job, but in the end she ends up on top and her boss is arrested by the FBI. Lots more-interesting characters throughout.

a little too predictable. the character acted more like a bimbo rather than a lawyer. Hard to believe she would have been so duped. ... disappointing

The story centers way more around the political scandal than it does the old southern home and family history. Those were just a small part of the story. We only get to see a small part of the renovation and we learn nothing about the family history except a couple of "hearsays" and rumors.
