In 1844 Ireland, Liam O'Connor, a rogue and a thief, fell in love with Cora McLeod, the squire's daughter, and unwittingly altered the future, and now, a century later, angels have given Liam the task of making sure Cora falls in love with the man she was supposed to marry before Liam interfered, with his soul hanging in the balance, but when Liam discovers that he again wants Cora for himself, he must choose between a stolen moment in time or an eternity of damnation.

Add a CommentI really like this author but it was difficult to get into this novel. It is rare to not sympathize with the main character in Nora Roberts writings but I couldn’t get into this rogue and his self centeredness.
This book is obviously the first of a series, although there is nothing to indicate this when you start reading. By the end of the book, nothing is resolved; and the reader is left with an unfinished story.
Was a fan of this author for many years! Hadn't read her modern day setting books until this one and I wasn't expecting it to be co-authored! I'm disappointed with this past day & present day scenario and the ending left me with a Huh? Guess I'll have to reread her earlier novels!
