A veritable tour-de-force of a novel! Patrick Redmond is little known but he is among the BEST writers working today. As with his previous efforts, this book captures the psychological impact of emotional hardships suffered in childhood showing the dread impact they can have later in life. With carefully crafted words and a rising undertone of menace, Redmond delivers characters that rivet the reader's focus and bring them along on a journey that you know is going to end badly but cannot turn away from. Another compelling read from a tremendous talent.
