I enjoyed this book because it was very exiting. You never know what will happen next. This book made me laugh and made me sad. This book also made me thankful for what I had. - Hiromi, age 11

i was looking at the William Allen White nominees with my 11 yr old and she said she already read it and liked it. I decided to read it since WAW nominees are typically fast, thought provoking books and then she and I could discuss the book afterwards. It will also count towards my challenge of reading a book that features animals.

This is a great novel for 11 year old or older because there are some harsh things that some little kids can't take.
This is about a girl who gets put into a foster home and she get switched over to one after another. But when she gets put into this special home she makes a friend who trains dogs and she makes another friend who is a dog. Read the book to find out more.
