"Ridley Duchannes. Is there even one stupid tiny little part of you that loves one stupid tiny little part of me?"
Beautiful line!! :)

My actual rating is more 3.5
Ok, so I liked this book. I did. I am committed to and love these characters. I've read all the Caster Chronicles (the Beautiful Creatures series) and most of the short stories. BUT, I spent the first two-thirds of this book rather confused. This book starts sort of in the middle of events... important plot points had unfolded before the start of the book. The plot points are slowly revealed over time. For me, this plot device (starting in the middle and slowly telling the reader what happened prior) is a hit or miss... and it was a miss for me this time. Instead of drawing my interest, it all just confused me. I kept feeling like I was missing several steps. However, it did eventually hook me in and I thoroughly enjoyed the last third of the book.

I will be continuing this series.

Dangerous creature is a dangerous love story written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. I was a huge fan of beautiful creature and I was thrilled that we would be revisiting Ridley and Link in dangerous creatures. For the most part I got what I wanted, lots of sassy siren Ridley and southern dorky charm from Link. There were few things that kept me from loving the book but I was engage enough to check out the rest of the Link and Ridley story, so it’s a solid start to the new series.
Ridley, was of my favorite character it wasn’t a surprise that I enjoyed reading from her perspective. We were introduced to her softer side, but there were plenty of times in Dangerous Creatures where Ridley was vulnerable.
The romance in this book was really confusing. I use to ship Ridley and Link so hard, but this time they were on-and -off and horrible dynamic. Majority of plot seemed pointless. The only thing that made the book easy to read was the writing style.
I would say that Dangerous Creature is a must for fans of Beautiful Creatures who adore Link and Ridley. I hope the next books will be more action packed and give us more plot to sink our teeth into, but it was definitely revisiting these two. Don’t read this book if you love triangle make you squirm. I recommend reading the Caster Chronicles series before starting this one.

"Everyone likes a rebel" as they all say. "This protagonist will steal your heart", and "She is a bad girl through and through". Honestly, though, Ridley struck me as the type that may have fit these quotas, but lacked in some areas. I don't know what people found so captivating about her, as she is really just a misguided girl raised with the wrong ideas, but maybe some people relate to that? I'm not too sure. But over the span of the book she changes quite dramatically. Those who like subtle changes will probably enjoy the book more than those who just liked the "evil queen" version of Ridley. The romance with Link is more focused, and while I do ship the two together it seemed a bit off right from the start.
